This 4-ingredient funfetti dip is basically cake batter’s cooler, no-bake cousin. It’s creamy, sweet, and loaded with rainbow sprinkles—perfect for last-minute get-togethers, after-school treats, or just because someone needs a win today. All you need is a mixing bowl and five minutes. Serve it with pretzels, graham crackers, fruit, or straight off the spoon. Zero judgment.
In a mixing bowl, add the cream cheese and cool whip together and mix until well combined and fluffy.
Then add in the cake mix. The Funfetti dip will be thick at this point. Slowly add in the milk mixing as you go until the mixture is to the consistency you like. Add the milk slowly so the dip doesn't get too thin. You want an animal cracker to be able to dip in and scoop out without breaking.
Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge until you are ready to serve.
Notes
Heat treat your cake mix:
Spread the cake mix out on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 350℉ for 5-7 minutes.
Alternatively you can microwave the cake mix in 30 second intervals for 2-3 minutes, stirring as you go.
In either case, your goal is to raise the temp to 165℉ degrees to kill off any of those bacteria. Be careful not to “toast” the cake mix as it can alter the flavor. Then proceed with the recipe as written.
Soften ingredients:
To make mixing up the Funfetti dip easier, be sure to soften your cream cheese and defrost the cool whip.
