Say hello to your new breakfast BFF: Blueberry Overnight Oats! This recipe is a lifesaver for those chaotic mornings when you need something nutritious, quick, and downright delicious. Simply mix up a few ingredients before bed, and wake up to a jar of creamy, fruity goodness waiting for you in the fridge. Loaded with juicy blueberries, creamy oats, and a hint of sweetness, these overnight oats will have you powering through your morning like a superhero.
Put oats into a clean 8 oz wide mouth mason jar. Top with the Greek yogurt and then pour in the milk.
Nestle frozen blueberries or blueberry puree cube into the oats.
Cover and seal jar and put in fridge for at least 12 hours or up to one week.
When you are ready to eat the overnight oats, give them a good stir to make sure all ingredients are well incorporated. If desired, top with additional fresh blueberries or other toppings of your choosing.
Notes
If you like your oats a little bit creamier, add a bit more liquid. If you like them to have a bit of a bite, add a bit less.
You can easily make multiple jars of overnight oats with blueberries at a time. Simply double, triple or quadruple the recipe as needed.
To make the recipe gluten free: Most old fashioned oats are naturally gluten free, but be sure to double check that the ingredients are certified gluten free if you have a gluten allergy.
To make the recipe dairy free: Simply substitute the Greek yogurt for a coconut based dairy free yogurt and substitute the skim milk for any dairy free type of milk you like. Almond milk is my favorite substitute, but oat milk and coconut milk would also work well.
