This 3-ingredient Cherry Dump Cake is as simple as it gets. Just layer the ingredients in a baking dish, pop it in the oven, and you’re done. The cherry filling turns bubbly and sweet, while the cake mix forms a golden, buttery topping.
Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
Dump the cherry pie filling into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the blueberry filling, making sure to cover the entire surface.
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cherry filling is bubbling around the edges. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
Notes
Add fresh berries: You can always add fresh pitted and halved cherries in with the cherry pie filling for an extra cherry punch. Or try adding a variety of berries that are in season to make it a mixed berry dump cake.Make it tall: If you want to have a taller dump cake, you can also make this in an oval casserole dish instead of the standard 9x13 baking pan.Storage Tip: It can sit on the counter for up to two days, and then you can pop it in the fridge for up to 5 days.
