I love it because it uses one bowl, mixes together in 5 minutes, uses only ingredients that most people have on hand, making it perfect for new and experienced bakers alike.
Generously spray a 9x5 loaf pan with baking spray.
In mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and cake spice.
To the dry ingredients, mix in eggs, melted butter, and mashed bananas.
Stir in the chocolate chips and pour batter into the pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean (check after 45 minutes and cover with foil if top is getting too dark)
Notes
If you would like to use whole wheat flour in this recipe, I would suggest subbing half the all purpose for the whole wheat.If you find that the batter is too thick, which can happen if your bananas are on the small side or you kitchen is dry, add a few tablespoons of water (one at a time) to thin it out a bit.
