EASY PASSOVER RECIPE

Chocolate Matzo Crack Recipe

A true Passover treat, this chocolate matzo crack recipe is super easy to put together with just 5 ingredients and about 10 minutes of hands-on time.  It’s so good you’ll find yourself making it over and over again.

Matzo Unsalted Butter Brown Sugar Chocolate Chips Sea Salt

Ingredients

Lay matzo across the bottom of the lined pan creating just 1 layer, breaking the matzo as needed to fill the entire bottom of the pan.

Step 1

Heat butter and brown sugar in a sauce pan, on the stove set over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a boil and and stir. Once done, spread on top of the matzo.

Step 2

Evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips over the matzo. Then put in the oven and heat until melted. Remove and evenly spread the chocolate.

Step 3

Sprinkle with sea salt to finish and put into the fridge or freezer to set. Once set, remove from the fridge and enjoy!

Step 4

I like to use the traditional “plain” matzo, but you could easily use egg matzo if you like.  It’s a little bit softer, so it may not give you the same “crack”, but will taste just as good.  You can also use gluten-free matzo without a change to the recipe.
